Hi Giovanni,
Giovanni Campagna wrote:
recently I was asked me on the state of gnome-weather.
Now, I have a branch locally, that rewrites it in JS and adds many
missing functionality, and I was thinking that maybe it's possible to
push it as a preview for 3.8
The reason it's not public yet is that it depends on unfinished gjs
changes, but for 3.8 I managed to strip them.
Additionally, it depends on a minor API addition to libgweather,
gweather_info_get_symbolic_icon_name().
The patch lives at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695134,
because I wrote it after API freeze.
I believe it is a relatively safe patch, with no impact on existing
applications.
gweather_info_get_symbolic_icon_name() has no documentation and is not
called by any current application, I'd keep it post-3.8.
Fred
