Hard code freeze break request: Trivial fix in eog

It's another one-liner that merely reverts behaviour to what it was
before the regression occurred.  It fixes 2 rather visible bugs and I
can't imagine that it could possibly cause any harm.

I have Tim's approval to commit pending release team approval.
