Getting rid of bugzilla and git.g.o isn't reason enough :P

More seriously though. The github like integration in gitlab works very
well. And from the limited testing of fairly large code bases like
nautilus its responsive. Also it might attract more outside contribution
as the ux (fork and merge requests for example) is much more friendly.

Yeah, it looks nice, and is a lot faster now compared to when it was
first announced.
I'm also looking forward to making use of CI and webhooks :)
