Maybe it's a build issue, however i didn't finished to look at mime types.

Here for instance, if i open a terminal on project folder and type:

$ planner my-project.planner

it does not open.

Since it's working on ubuntu, it must be an fedora related issue.

neither thunar, "files" or command line can open it.

I'll ask on fedora community.

Well, in theory if you click on a file and it is not opened by the expected  application, that should be the problem.

In my case on Ubuntu 16.04 double clicking on a planner file launches it in planner, so I don't think there is anything intrinsically wrong with planner itself.

So, you suspect that mimetype information for planner is missing on fedora 23?
