[Planner] Work time calculation

Hi,

thanks for the quick answer about what "unlink" does!

I have now been doing a project plan where I have several resources
working for some project. Tasks are partly done concurrently and partly
have dependencies between them. Additionally the project is using a
modified calender with local holidays and a shorter working day (6h). I
was happy with this until I was asked what is the total amount of "man
work days"*. If I figured right the Work column should give this
information, right?

I noticed that the "Work" column in the task list does not seem to count
correctly the tasks' work durations. For example for one specific task I
have, I get the sum of 36d7h, where this should be 37d1h using the
project's calendar.

Additionally I found that this task has a duration of 36d7h in Planner
and when I export the plan to html, the Gantt chart shows for the same
task a work duration of 34d5h!

Have I misunderstood what the Work column represents? Are these know
defects or should they be reported somewhere?

Thanks,
-pn

* one man work day = one person working for one day (usually 7.5h). So
if a task takes two days to complete from one person that task would
cost 2 "man work days". Accordingly the same task could be done by two
persons in one day.
