[pdfmod] PDF mod closes on some documents but not others

Attached are two documents.
PDF mod opens and will edit the document labeled Test 1.
It will open but instantly closes upon an attempt to edit Test 2.
OS: SUSE 11.4. all updates, Gnome desktop.
