So this is basically expected at the moment - llvmpipe doesn't work on
i686, at least in gnome-ostree.  It's possible I have built something
incorrectly or introduced a bug somewhere...but I haven't spent much
time debugging it.

Try trees/gnomeos-3.8-x86_64-devel instead.  The neat thing about
OSTree: we don't need "noarch" packages or the like, you quite simply
only download files which are different.

I just booted that in qemu and it worked.

$ ostree --repo=repo rev-parse trees/gnomeos-3.8-x86_64-devel
cfc26b3972b4ca10bc9bbf124beef3aaeaecc5266c46f95f8c670fb19e2125f3
$
