Re: [orca-list] Plugin to jump easily in Thunderbird folder trree

Hi,
do you have a specific idea of what kind of jumps would you like to perform?
Personally I use Tab and Shift+Tab just fine, folder tree and message
list are right aside each other, so there's little slowdown.
Though, if you have a Expression search search bar between them, that
can be disturbing.
Until its settings are fixed, you can use F6 for jumping between folder
tree and message list, in fact, the key will focus one of them from any
location in the TB window (perhaps unless you're on a different tab).

And if you want to go the ninja way...
There is an extension called Nostalgy++:
https://github.com/opto/nostalgy-xpi

I'm not using it myself, as I don't have that many folders, so I can't
say to what extend it works right now.
The problem is, that Thunderbird is regularly breaking its API for
plugins, so just like Expression Search NG, Markdown here reviwal or
many other great addons, Nostalgy++ is also a resurrection of the
original Nostalgy plugin.
I've installed it right now and it seems functional, so feel free to
give it a try.
If anything does not work as expected, you can open an issue on the
repository and also consider donating the author.
It's the same guy as behind Expression search NG, so both projects would
benefit from a donation.

You can find the plugin documentation in pop/about_content.html file of
the repository.
I guess it should be available from TB after installation somewhere, but
I'm not sure where.

Also note that thunderbird addons site doesn't contain the most recent
version, it might be better to install from the Releases section of the
official repository, as it contains the most recent improvements and bug
fixes.

Best regards

Rastislav
