Re: [orca-list] Google tools and Orca experience

Have you enabled google docs' accessibility support -- including its
braille support? That causes Google Docs to stop using live regions to
communicate things (which can be laggy) and to expose an accessibility
tree and events similar to what one gets in a desktop editor.

Yes, I enabled those 2 accessibility modes, only solution to get something usable anyway.

Note that I'm off this week from work. But if you're having serious
lags, a debug.out showing a specific lag -- along with concrete steps
to cause that lag -- would be helpful when I am back at work.

I am experiencing such lags in a docs file. The output is on https://people.debian.org/~jpmengual/debug

Hope it helps

Thanks!

Hi,

Is it possible, without patching the Google suite (if not, I will
need
to report to them) to improve the experience with Orca? Mainly, I
would
like to know wether lags I have editing a Docs file, or opening the
comments history, or it is hard to control the caret which tends to
move
with Firefox. I tried with Chromevox too, less lag, even if some
strange
behaviour (eg. speak the whole paragraph when reaching the first
character  of it).

So should I track via debug.out to help or is it useless?

Thanks for your help

Regards
