It is, along with ACCESSIBILITY_ENABLED=1 for Chromium/Electron based 
things to work and having the Gnome one enabled or not makes zero 
difference however. I also have the enable assistive technology checkbox 
checked.

This is running Solus 4.3 with the Mate desktop, which is the latest 
Mate version
