Re: [orca-list] Voxin, installing voice

Hey Daniel,
When I go into terminal, I believe I'm in the home directory.
That is where Downloads is located.
Remember, there is a capital D in Downloads.
So just do cd Downloads

Hi Glenn

Just the one thing. What is the full command for getting into the downloads
folder via terminal? You didn't mention it, unless I missed.

Thanks for all the instructions, I'll follow it to the letter. Wish me luck!

Hi Daniel,
Here's how I do it:
On the file, use the applications key and enter on
extract here
Then go into the terminal and cd into Downloads
Then do the following, but change the number to reflect your Voxin number:
cd voxin-enu-3.21
Then do
cd voxin-3.21
Then run the following:
sudo bash voxin-installer.sh
Then you will have to confirm once or twice with an enter key.
HTH.

Hi all

So I've made my purchase of one of the voices but don't know how to
install
it so that orca can see it. At the moment, it's sitting in my downloads
folder.

Any help from here would be really appreciated.
