Hello,
About a month ago I've tried running pulseaudio on pipewire.
The issue I was unable to find a workaround for is that interupting speech was not possible. Since that time there were some updates to pipewire, so perhaps it will no longer be an issue.
I haven't tried running speech-dispatcher with alsa output module on pipewire yet.
Also Samuel is hoping for a native pipewire backend for speech-dispatcher that may be a win here: https://github.com/brailcom/speechd/issues/447
In order to get pipewire to replace jack and pulseaudio I have just followed the arch wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PipeWire
Greetings
Peter
Hi. Question for archlinux users, anyone tried pipewire there? Does it work properly? If so, not sure how to install it so that I don't destroy sound, I have no fallback if I do.
