Re: [orca-list] [slint] Chrome just surprised me.

And, quick update...

Works fine out of the box on Arch as well. Got a quick and dirty xorg system up, didn't add the  renderer flags and just did chromium in a terminal. Came up talking right away as well. So it's not just a Slint or Brave thing. It looks from my chair like it's Chromium/Chrome making a good change

Hi Brandt, Joanie and All,

no, I did not do it, and neither did Ruarí Ødegaard in the script mine is
launching. Maybe this is now enabled by default in the official binary.
Joanmarie Diggs most probably knows, so I CC the Orca mailing list.

@Joanie: this is running Chrome version 96.0.4664.110, official build repackaged
for Slint (64 bit).

Meanwhile Brandt, you may experiment with the a11y settings of Chrome. Just load
chrome:/accessibility in Chrome's access bar to do that.

Cheers,
Didier

Hi all,

After running "latest Chrome" and having Chrome install, I opened it without
adding --force-renderer-accessibility to the menu command.

Didier, I don't know if you did it in the script, but it just works. Thank you.
It's much appreciated.

Warm regards,

Brandt Steenkamp
