Its control-x followed by control c and the normal notation for this
is c-x c-c make sure you have your punctuation set so you can read
this.

Hi,
How does one get out of eMacSpeak?
The info I'm reading on it says
c x c c
or c-x c c
It just tells me I cannot modify a buffer.
I don't get it.

How do
you spend it?
