The problem seems to be with Mate 1.24 and later. When I run vscode exploration builds in Gnome 3.x, Orca is 
able to maintain its senses and work as expected. This problem showed itself with Chrome sometime ago. Run it 
in Mate, and it had focus problems, and under Gnome 3.x, it ran as expected.

Hi all.

Certainly I must be doing something wrong, but the fact is that I was unable to find the problematic commit, 
if any, using git bisect.

The result has always been the same, orca is muted as soon as I run VScode exploration.


I begin to suspect that there is something wrong in my environment, with 
me or both. Maybe I'm in need of a beer, Although it's too early for that!

Using master I am reciveing the "crash" but using 3.38.0 all is ok.

What version of orca are using?

In my environment the problem doesn't happen if I run orca 3.38.0.

Orca stays mute even if I press alt+tab, tab and etc.


But it seems that the problem only happens if I use orca compiled
from master.

If I start code-exploration using orca 3.38.0 there is no
problem.
