Re: [orca-list] speech stops at links in FF using carot navigation

I checked,
I did not disable Layout mode.
Stopping at links when using the carot navigation is kind of default
for all websites.
and it also does not read the text after the link
i.e. this Wikipedia site:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_orthography
The tutorial I was reading was:
https://github.com/MalphasWats/hawk/blob/master/articles/creating-the-schematic.markdown

I am using Debian 10

4. press about 8 times Tab to land on the checkbox for enable Layout

It's on the Firefox page in Orca's app-specific preferences. For
further help please ask on the Orca list. Thanks!

Hi Robert.

By default, Orca reads line by line and shouldn't stop at links
unless
the link is at the end of the line or formatted in such a way
that it
appears to be a different line.

If you disabled layout mode, however, Orca would stop at links
(and
other objects).

If you did not disable layout mode, would it be possible to
provide a
link to the tutorial?

Thanks!

Is there a setting to let it read on over links?

I am reading a tutorial and want to be able to read line by
line.

Thanks,
Robert
