Re: [orca-list] Elements not announced as clickable with Chromium

I'm answering again.

Enter and space might have other assigned functionality that the web
author or browser assigns which is not clicking on it. Orca doesn't
have any way of knowing what the expected interaction might be. So
rather than risk doing the wrong thing with very basic/fundamental
keystrokes, Orca provides an alternative for pages which are not
properly keyboard navigable: The way you interact with objects Orca
says is "clickable" is to use Orca's "click" command.

I'm asking again.

What is the problem with rewriting clickable behavior to have
possibility to open clickable elements using enter or space?
ALT+SHIFT+A
sometimes loads the list very slowly. Not each man knows, that he
can
click the element using object navigation. Really, really is this a
big
problem to rewrite it? Why in each other screen readers it can be
done
as i sait, but not in orca?

Confirmed. Will take a look.

Hello,

Environment: Debian Buster, Orca master, Chromium 86.0.4207.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open this URL: https://www.philips-hue.com/fr-fr/produits

2. Go to the second level 6 heading;

3. Press down arrow

Expected result: Orca should announce "kit de démarrage" as
clickable.

Actual result: Orca only announce "Kit de démarrage".

Using FireFox, it is correctly announced as clickable.

Best regards,
