Re: [orca-list] gnome-disk-utility when writeing/restoreing a image to a device, orca completely becomes non responsive.

Hello,

my friend who isn't at this list has this experience too, it works great in Ubuntu Mate 16.04, but i newer versions it's problem.

Vojta.

Hi,

I can confirm this behaviour as well here on Ubuntu Mate 20, with Orca
3.39-1 Pre. I ended up using USB Disk Writer on my other Linux box
running Linux Mint 20.

Seems this behaviour of having speech silent happens when running Deja
Backup utility:

+ While speech will be provided throughout the application interface,
the moment "Backup" or "Restore" button is hit, speech is lost.

+ However, speech is restored as soon as backup or restoration is
complete.

+ Thus, as backup or disk restore is in progress, I often work in Emacs
where Emacspeak or Speechdel will be providing feedback for every action
I do.
