Re: [orca-list] Speech-dispatcher library for C#?

Hi everyone,
don't worry, I don't like making something that has already been done.
:)
Tesseract may be a complete project from point of user, but from point
of programmer, it's just a component. Like a brick, which is itself of
course a complete product, but a skilled builder can use it to build a
house, a road, a shop or even a palace.
Tesseract has few undoubtebly useful functions already built in, but
how exactly will they be used is limited only by programmer's
imagination.
And its often the way you use already existing things what makes a
product unique, and what makes it a thing itself.
I just don't want to specify more details to not propagate something,
that may possibly not work, there will be enough time to talk about it
when it's actually finished.
Thus i simplified my description to "a program to scan user's screen",
but the statement is actually similarly descriptive to saying, that
Linux is a program to run electricity through processor.

Best regards

Rastislav

Hi Janina,

I beg to differ on just one thing you wrote, Your Honor:

On the other hand, Tesseract is relatively old technology.

Tesseract 4 does include a learning engine based on neural
networks, which can
be used to train tesseract, cf.:

https://github.com/tesseract-ocr/tessdoc/blob/master/TrainingTesseract-4.00---Finetune.md

It includes handy utilities for training, like tesstrain.sh

@Ratislav: it's not difficult to build including the training
engine,

I stole without shame the SLKBUILD to Arch and modified it ;)

Best,
Didier
