SWT-GTK maintainer here, we have a ticket for this upstream at Eclipse.org:

Right now development is frozen for 2019-03 (4.11), so no new fixes will 
appear in that release. However I will take a look at this issue for 
2019-06 (4.12). Please add yourself to the ticket's CC list if you'd 
like to receive updates.
