Yes it does. Maybe should you try bluetoothctl command-line client in
bluez package:
sudo bluetoothctl
power on
agent on
devices (to list all devices)
trust <device_number>
pair <device_number> (it should ask pin)
connect <device_number>
press ctrl-d to quit bluetoothctl client
