Re: [orca-list] Twitter in Linux?

two possible options come to mind. One uses perl and is called oysttyer
and another uses python and is called rainbow-reader. Oysttyer isn't
packaged well within perl but rainbow-reader is packaged well in python
so here's the command to install rainbow-reader and you do this as root
or sudo root.
pip install rainbow-reader <enter>.
You may also want to upgrade pip and if that's recommended you'll be
told about it when you install rainbow-reader. As a user, run
rainbow-reader to set it up.
To do this you'll need to know how to use espeak's clipboard feature to
copy a url and then control-z on rainbow-reader which will background
rainbow-reader so you can run a browser with that url you just copied
and log into your twitter account and authorize rainbow-reader and get
the authorization code twitter will give you copied into your espeak
clipboard and then close your browser and fg to bring rainbow-reader
back to foreground and paste in the code to the field twitter just gave
you. Once done exit rainbow-reader then start rainbow-reader up again
and you should be in twitter like any other logged in user.

Subject: [orca-list] Twitter in Linux?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for, preferably a command line based twitter client for my main
machine, running Ubuntu 18.04. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate
it.
