Howdy list, 

I currently teach some python to my girlfriend as she is interested in. Is there a way in gedit or any other 
editor what tells here how much spaces or tabs are left or right of the text?

Example
<space><space>print(“howdy”)

Shoult tell me 2 spaces

Is this possible or possible to add?
