Yes I'm on 18.04 Mate here, but I grabbed it from Git and did, from the
/fenrir directory I cloned it into
python3 check-dependancies.py (or similar name) and installed the
missing ones
Then...cd /src and sudo ./fenrir
You should hear a beep or two beeps, that means it should be running, I
just switched to a TTY and it came up speaking after logging in. No idea
if that'll work for you but it worked fine here after double checking
what I needed and installed the missing ones.

Are you running Ubuntu 18.4?
I have still not managed to get it to run using Ubuntu mate 18.4.
When I had it on my system, I obtained it with sudo apt install fenrir
so I don't know if there is a fault with the Ubuntu package which is
why nothing happens when I try to run it from a text console.

Hey, got it to work by doing sudo /fenrir here, and it works on my
Ubuntu box. I'm half tempted to keep it around for dipping into TTY
stuff when I'm too lazy to open up a terminal.

How do you run Fenrir?
I have gone to text consoles and typed fenrir after logging in.
I tried sudo fenrir. I tried something like systemctl enable fenrir.
No results on any of them so obviously I am doing something wrong.
One thing I am wondering is if I have to look for a file called
systemctl and edit it to run fenrir.
