Hello mattias,

The performance seems related to Thunderbird itself.

Hypra will try to collaborate with Thunderbird to help figuring out 
that. We've limited capabilities, we're doing this in the next months. 
In the meantime, I advise you to downgrade to Thunderbird 52.

If you've any scenario to help us reproducing the lag issue, it'll be 
really appreciable.
