Re: [orca-list] Linux as primary OS

If you wish to use GNU/Linux as your primary, full-time OS (which is
exactly what you should do ), then you can just give a baby place to
Windows on need base.

Put in a virtual box like the one from Oracle or VMware.

It is pretty much doable provided you have at least 4 GB RAM with a
decent processor.

Happy hacking.

I have to use Windows for the VMware client app. Otherwise, I am

I fire up a VirtualBox virtual machine. I build and manage my virtual
machines entirely at the command line.  So I have zero accessibility
issues. My job does not require me to do things like spreadsheets or
pdfs. At worst, if I need to create a pdf, I write it in latex and
convert it to pdf. With spreadsheets, I always do csv files.

Hi folks,

I am considering using Linux as my primary OS. However, at work I
need to use Windows. Does anyone on here have the same issue? If so
could they please write me off-list and I will explain my situation
further.

Thanks

Best wishes
