It is with your twisties patch. I've checked on Debian Sid with upstream
Thunderbird (so without your patch) I obtain the same result.


Ok.  I guess here it's a bug in thunderbird itself, which does not
transmit the collapsed/expanded information to at-spi, just like it
wasn't transmitting it to gtk for the rendering before my patch.

I guess you have the same issue with expanders in firefox?
