Re: [orca-list] WARNING: Orca broken on latest Arch upgrades

Hello,

It turns out pyatspi2 has issues running after upgrading to python 3.7 .
If you are on Arch and would like to fix it locally you can grab my PKGBUILD script and rebuild python-atspi from the Arch linux issue I am linking to.

pyatspi2 upstream issue: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pyatspi2/issues/1
pyatspi2 Merge request: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pyatspi2/merge_requests/3
Arch linux issue: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/59547

By the way do you know if Mike Gorse is on holiday or how we might be able to get this into the release sooner than later?

Greetings

Peter

Coincidentally, I'm changing machines because my current machine needs
repairs. Because of this, and since I would have to reinstall the system on the

new machine, I decided to test the fedora.
So I have not updated the arch since Friday.

Friends:

Something among the 264 or so updated packages on the Arch repo,
packages updated since Saturday last, is breaking Orca. This is
confirmed for 3.29 and for Master.

So, WARNING! For now, don't upgrade your Arch!

It is yet unknown whether this applies to Linux distributions other than
Arch. Please report if you run into this.

Janina
