Re: [orca-list] [OT] How to make columns wider in Calc using the keyboard

Hi Nick,

I think it should work in v5. I work with the Dutch language but in English I think Alt+F will take you to the first item in the menubar File menu. Arrow right to the Layout menu.

Succes.

Hi Milton,

How do I get to the menubar layout?

I am on v5.4, not v6. DO you know if that would make a difference?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi,

I use LibreOffice 6 with Orca 3.26.

Go to the menubar Layout, down arrow to colums, right arrow to width and press Enter. You can set a prefered width and Tab to OK and press Enter.

Success

Hi all,

I've been trying to figure out a way to make columns in a Calc spreadsheet wider without relying on the mouse.

Does anyone know if this can be done using just the keyboard? I had hoped there might be a dialog where you can set the width but I've not been able to find one.

Alternatively can Orca simulate the mouse in a way that would let me drag the column to make it wider?

Thanks,

Nick
