Re: [orca-list] emulating mouse stopped working probably after Gnome upgrade

Hello,

I've just upgraded to Gnome 3.26 and synthesizing mouse clicks is working fine for me.

Another edge case preventing recommendation of wayland is that clipboard functionality is very different when running on wayland. This is different for other apps not just orca.
For example when running Gnome on X.org, I can for example fire up gnome-calculator, do some quick computation there, copy the result by pressing ctrl+c, then close gnome-calculator and paste the result to a document editing in libre office writer or gedit or a web app in firefox.
When running Gnome on wayland, gnome-calculator has to be running if I wish to copy from it.
I known we can do nothing about it I just wanted to point it out that we need to change our habits a bit.

Greetings

Peter

If you're using Wayland, try switching to Xorg. Wayland still has some
accessibility problems, synthesizing mouse movement and clicks being one
of them.
