Re: [orca-list] Linux full-time

Hi I am a web application developer working as a project leader and director of my organization, Digital Freedom Foundation (India ) <www.dff.org.in>

I use Ubuntu full-time since 2008.

I use Emacs for my Python programming as well as _javascript_.

Eclipse is also on my machine and I used it a lot till Feb this year.

I use Spreadsheet (calc) for all my management reports and in meetings etc I use Tomboy Notes.

Thunderbird is my full-time email client and I am pretty satisfied with it, although it is a bit sluggish some times with huge mail box.

All this is accessible on Unity desktop.

Happy hacking.

Krishnakant.

Hi,

From 2012 I use Ubuntu and Vinux full time with Orca. In the GUI I use Firefox, LibreOffice Writer and Calc, Thunderbird, VLC, Audacity, LIOS for ocr, Nautilus file manager, gedit. In the terminal I use daisy-player, eBook-speaker for ocr and ebooks, update-manager and other simple tasks. In virtualbox I run Windows just for to read some daily newspapers from our librairy for the blind. So thanks to Orca I can help sighted people to use Ubuntu as part of my job.
