Hi,
i opened nautilus file manager, then find a folder that has a lot of
items, maybe over hundered. then i open terminal to install something,
after typing the command to install things, and i want to alt tab to the
file manager to open a file from there, orca stops speaking. so, wait
and wait, nothing. hit alt+f2, type orca --replace, and that thing is on
again.
2. when i was writing the previous email to other list, vinux list that
is, then orca stopped speaking. again, i know the same result so, orca
--replace.
3. when doing editing in audacity, alt tab to the file manager to change
song, same. so, guess what? orca --replace.
it turns out that the system is not crashing, it just orca. because
during orca stopped speaking, and if i press ctrl+alt+t, and press
backspace quickly, i hear it respond very quickly!
this is new i think, because last time i used linux, (on 2015), i think
it is ok, that time i was running pc purchased on 2013, with 1.3 ghz and
4 gb ram. i've installed vinux, ubuntu, fedora.
but now, i am running 2.2 ghz processor, 2 gb of ram, a del e6400 (i
think), always crash! is this computer's fault?
even during typing this mesage, i've restarted orca two times.
using vinux 5, (i've updated it), orca 3.22.1, gnome shell.
ok ok ok i will stop, before the number increased. i think now it is
about five times.
---end of message---
since now windows is getting better, and freedom scientific, gw micro
and other assistive technology companies will fall, let us force them to
shift to linux, and improve the acessibility in linux os. they can
compete here, imagine, they create magnifier, jaws for linux,
llinux-eyes, what else? then we can compete with windows!
