Re: [orca-list] Libreoffice 5.3.0 calc very difficult to use - GTK3 build

Hello Alex,

Is this the same issue that is also breaking navigation in writer? I mean the one with missing caret moved events? Or is there a different issue?

Thanks and greetings

Peter

Hello Peter,

There is a huge bug introduced in LibreOffice 5.3.x, the only solution you have is to wait a bugfix within a new release.
On Arch, as I understand there is two package : libreoffice-fresh from 5.3 and another one for 5.2.x. You should migrate to the 5.2.x branch until the fix.

I've reported and commented the bug 2 weeks ago without result. Could you help us with a comment on the LibreOffice bug tracker : https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104381
and
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106093

Best regards.

Hello,

I can't find a similar bug on the tdf bugzilla however I am afraid there
is very little that can be done at the orca side of things.
When running libreoffice 5.3.0 on arch linux, I can't navigate in the
calc spread sheet at all.

Here is my debug out file:

Can you please try to reproduce it?

Greetings

Peter
