Re: [orca-list] Orca and caja file manager?

hi

One thing I've noticed lately is the frequent freezing caja does. I can't pin it down, but in particularly large folders it will just ... stop. Pressing alt+f4 and waiting a bit will of course allow me to kill it, but it does get annoying haveing to put up with this multiple times a day. Please ignore the winblows headers, I'm on mellisa's machine, again, sigh. This happens on orca stable and git, with late mate 1.12. I'm not sure with 1.14 yet, arch for some odd reason hasn't upgraded to it yet.

Thanks

Hello all, so apparently either this is a bug, or something, but serious enough to investigate, and if possible, I'll provide a debug log, but even with the latest caja installed, orca 3.20.2, when copying a large directory several gigs to several hundred gigs, if one doesn't constantly alt tab between windows often, and say leaves the transfer to go do something else, or another instance of this issue occuring is just as the transfer is finished, but it more happens during transfer, loss of the keybord entirely, including speech, the only resolution I've found is to using the good ol magic sysrq key and either rebooting or powering off the machine. I'm not sure weather the copy/moving of the directory/files is still going on in the background or not being as once it happens even attempting to access a console won't work, it's as if the keybord is useless. This only happens with quite large directories though. Again I can provide a dbug log if need be. This is sonar 2016.3, and this isn't the first time this has happened, it happened a few caja versions back, though I'm not sure if it's caja specifically, or what the heck it is. Any ideas on this weird anomaly?
