Yes, some times it worked for me. I did have crashes during other tests when they both were running at the 
same time, but I even had speechd-up and 
speakup running at the same time on vinux5 along with orca. 
I've not played with this in days as I don't have the need right now, but if there's a specific test someone 
wants verified I'll try and find the time 
to help.
