Re: [orca-list] When testing what looks like an Orca hang

Sorry to be spammy. I just added some more checks which should make
processing of the offending event more performant. If you pulled after
seeing the response below, please pull again.

Thanks José.

I just added a check which hopefully will resolve the
too-long-to-process issue you reported. Please let me know.

Hi Joanie.
Still have not found a reliable way to reproduce the problems described
in the previous message.
I'll send in PVT my debug file
Thanks.

Hey José.

Thanks! On the too long to process, normally when you see that it means
something else (e.g. Firefox, AT-SPI2) is not getting back to us right
away. Is this something you can reliably reproduce and provide steps so
I can look into it?

The gnome-shell stuff is normal. Or at least, it's expected and being
handled by Orca and is not a bug. And the one way to reliably screen
those out is non performant.

As for the last one (where is the processing time, etc.), did that
happen right before Orca stopped speaking? Regardless, if you can
reliably reproduce the issue and provide steps to reproduce the problem,
I can look into it.

If you cannot reliably reproduce the problem, then I'll look for more
places to add more debugging output. <smiles>

On a somewhat-related note, I'm preparing to leave for a web
accessibility meetup/hackfest at Mozilla. So if I don't add that
debugging output right away, that's why.

Thanks again.
