Something I forgot to add:
When orca gets hung in this way, toggling with 'alt+super+s' does not
work; I have to issue "orca --replace" from the run dialogue or a
terminal.

Since upgrading the subject software from the accessibility devel ppa, I
notice frequent crashes or hangs, most notably in Mozilla browser (38 or
newer), and Icedove (like T-Bird 31.8). Rolling the browser version
back to the latest ESR does not seem to help with this. I began
noticing this behavior with Orca 3.16, but it is more frequent in 3.18.
Should I roll the entire accessibility stack back to Trisquel's
defaults (3.12)? Performance with the Mozilla suite might be a bit
slower, but I'd probably regain some reliability. FYI, Trisquel 7 is
based on Ubuntu 14.04.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Dave Hunt
