Super alt s should do it.  Not sure what is going on with your set up.  Try getting a sighted friend to help 
you log in and then switch to gdm from lightdm.  Super alt s will work on that for sure.

Hello when running ubuntu from the live cd after the drum sounds, how do you start orca? I tried with control 
s, I tried with windows alt s and orca refuses to start. am I missing a step? Hank
