Re: [orca-list] strange bug in latest orca master

Hi Kendell.

I cannot reproduce this issue. But since you indicated it is recent, can
you pin things down to the exact commit that you are sure broke things
for you?

hi all
I've noticed a strange bug in the latest orca from master. Ever since
installing the latest orca, whenever orca first starts in the morning,
it works fine. Until I go into gnome shell to search for anything, app,
file, etc. After this it goes completely silent, but it is still
running. In order to restore speech, I need to restart orca three times,
using the shortcut. The first two times it restarts, but won't focus on
or read the gnome desktop icons. I've been trying to generate a debug
log for this but how do you generate a debug log when orca first starts?
I tried editing the desktop file, but no luck so far. On the positive
side, joanie, when you made that change for the thunderbird print
dialog, you really, really boosted orca's performance in thunderbird.
Orca no longer is sluggish when typing or echoing characters when
composing messages. I can't tell you how great this is that orca is able
to keep up when I type. It's fantastic! I'll be happy to generate a
debug log for the gnome shell issue if someone can tell me how. This
only seems to happen after a cold boot, when orca is first started, and
it's recent, although the last five commits don't seem to have changed
anything that should affect it, but shrug, what do I know?
Thanks
