Re: [orca-list] OT console screen reader

Hi, Pavel:

Sorry for the slow response. I'm just now catching up on Orca mail ...

For Fedora Speakup you need the kmod-staging package available from
rpmfusion. Be sure to also get kernel-modules so that you have alsa
support! <grin> For some reason, they don't track kernel-modules as a
kmod-staging dependency.

The latest kmod-staging currently on rpmfusion, 4.1.4, has broken
dependencies, unfortunately. So, I'm still using:

Name : kmod-staging
Version : 4.0.4
Release : 1.fc22.1
Architecture: x86_64
Install Date: Tue 30 Jun 2015 07:01:43 PM EDT
Group : System Environment/Kernel
Size : 0
License : GPLv2
Source RPM : staging-kmod-4.0.4-1.fc22.1.src.rpm
Build Date : Tue 26 May 2015 10:02:03 AM EDT
Build Host : builder02
Relocations : (not relocatable)
Packager : http://free.rpmfusion.org/
Vendor : RPM Fusion
URL : http://www.kernel.org/
Summary : Metapackage which tracks in staging kernel module for
newest kernel
Description :
This is a meta-package without payload which sole purpose is to require
the
staging kernel module(s) for the newest kernel.
to make sure you get it together with a new kernel.

Hi,
I have some problems with Fedora 22-3 and I can not find a spin for 23 gnome
beta. In 22-3 version, the driver for Intel graphic is broken, I get message
oh no, something is... and log out button. I want to try install it with
basic video mode, but I will need a console screen reader maybe. Can I
install speakup or yasr easily to Fedora 22-3?
Thank you,
Pavel V
