Jose didnt say but I am guessing he is talking about reading mail in 
Thunderbird. I have noticed this problem too and I think it began with a 
Thunderbird upgrade.

I'm using orca 3.18.1. I added the accessibility developers ppa to my 
ubuntu desktop. and I think it's been at 3.18.1 for a pretty long 
time.And I think I started noticing the difference when Thunderbird was 
updated.
