Hi Javier.
The use of live regions in this fashion strikes me as a sad hack. Having
said that, I can try to hack around their hack.

Hi all
Frequently I need to work with Google documents. Although Orca's has
good support for ARIA applications, I found there is too much time
between announcements for live region updates. This is no problem for
many applications, but when you
have to work editing or reading a document it's a bit unresponsive.
I have tried to change politeness level but without luck, Orca takes up
to 2 seconds for announcing changes.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login to Google Drive and create a new document, or spreadsheet
2. Enable sticky focus mode by pressing a twice.
3. Type some text and use arrows to read it
Google's uses a live region to present messages when you move the caret
or perform any operation.
Orca takes up to 2 seconds to speak changes for this live region.
Can we modify this behaviour? is there any setting I can change to
adjust tthe delay between announcements?
Any help would be very appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Regards,
Javier
