I'm no expert, but I believe the wifi network icon is on the bottom
panel. This is one of mate's remaining issues. Sometimes orca cannot
focus on both panels, seeming to only focus on the last one you were
on. The best advice I can give is try pressing control+alt+tab and
control+shift+alt+tab until you hear bottom expanded edge panel, then
look for the network icon. It's a bit hackish, hopefully this gets
fixed in either orca or mate soon. When you get to it, you should hear
"no network connection". Once there, press enter. It should bring up a
menu of networks. At the bottom, there should be a "connect to hidden
network" option. Press enter on that. Once you're there, type in the
name of the network and press enter. I'm not sure if you have to type
in the password in that dialog box or if a separate one shows up.
