I'm writing in to tell you all about a really nasty bug I've
discovered in sonar that shouldn't, but might possibly, delay the new
images a little. It goes like this. Create a new user, either
graphically using user management tools in your desktop of choice.
Then try to change to that user via the command line using su. Do not,
I repeat, do not try to log in to that user account using a login
manager. Your system will either lock up completely or the login
manager will simply restart. The error is caused by ... actually I'm
not sure exactly what's going on, but the new user is not able to
access his/her home directory, and neither can any application that
tries to place files there. The permissions are set correctly,
according to gnome and running an ls -l on the folder, so I'm not sure
what's going on. This seems arch specific, because the latest version
of fedora, fedora 22, does not have this issue. I'm going to delay the
next release of sonar until I can verify, and my two developers can
also verify that this bug has been fixed. I'm trying to figure out
where the bug is, which package it's in so I can file a bug.

Could other people test to see if we can narrow down which
distributions are affected so I can file a bug and get this fixed? If
you are not running a very recent distribution you needn't bother,
this bug is recent because the latest version of fedora, fedora 22
isn't affected.
