[orca-list] ubuntu mate: how to connect to wifi

Hi,
sorry if thisis offtopic, but it's emmergiency, i want to connect to
wifi on ubuntu mate. but, pressing alt+f1, but i cannot find the wifi.
pressing alt+f1, it landed on the apps list, and then i hit left
arrow. i found "preferences" shut down etc. i cannot find wifi
connection info or list. even if i go into the ubmenus, no about wifi.
any help would be appreciated. thanks and sorry for cluttering your
inbox.
