As far as I know, there is no way to do it in the live environment.  I don't know how they package their live 
cd so you will probably have to contact 
them at: 

info kali org

They will be most happy to answer this question.  

I am testing kali 2.0 at the moment, and the only thing I don't like about it is that the gnome and orca are 
a release out of date.
