Re: [orca-list] Alternative for launching Orca Preferences?

Wow, thanks, Joanie! Talk about turn around!

I'll go pull and build Master and report. But, I don't think I'll be
anywhere quite as quick as you! <grin>

Thanks again.

Hey Janina.

I've just added -s / --setup as a command-line option to master. It will
kill the running Orca (if there is one), restart it, and put you in
Orca's GUI. I hope this will address your needs -- and make it possible
for B.H. to rebind it as I have no idea what is causing his difficulties.

Take care.

Is there an alternative to [Orca]+Spacebar? Perhaps something from the

Or, am I putting out a RFE?

My situation is my Macbook-based VMware Orca machine. I currently do not have an
independent way to launch Orca Preferences in this vm. I have checked
with VMware Technical Support. It's possible to map the Ins key to
something, but doing so requires using a mouse. This is why I'm looking
for an alternative.
