Re: [orca-list] KDE

It's always been written with the QT toolkit which is rather the problem, so
to speak. Up until recently QT was wholely inaccessible. It now has some
accessibility but is not yet production-ready. Last time I tested it, text
entry fields and widgets were problematic, for instance. So, while I
haven't tested KDE since April of 2012, I'm fairly certain it is reasonably
accurate to say that it is as yet unready for full time production use by a
blind person but has been and will keep making steady progress in that
direction. If anyone knows different, feel free to jump in and point out
inaccuracies.

Subject: [orca-list] KDE

Folks,

Is the KDE desktop accessible through Orca? I had the impression that the
KDE desktop is inaccessible. I have also heard that the KDE desktop is now
written with the QT toolkit thus making it accessible.
