I built both images. I'll have to diff and run them to see what is
happening. Did you verify the md5 or sha256 checksum for the i686 image
to be sure it checks out? Anything could have gone wrong anywhere, and I
have been known to experience some strange behavior when using rsync and
hard links, so maybe something really funky happened in that process.
For now, run a check on the file and I'll post my findings on this end,
probably tomorrow.
