Hello, everyone!
To my experience, Dosbox is the best solution to run old Dos stuff. It
won't be accessible with Orca, but if you have an old dos screen reader
with software speech, you can start it from within dosbox and it will
work. I came upon it in the past when I tried to run my dos screen
reader under dosemu but my speech synthesizer (a software one) refused
to work in that environment.

Hi
I installed dosemu in sonar 13.04 and when I run it, it does not speak
with orca. I want to be able to play old dos games. so I uninstalled
dosemu since it doesn't seem to talk. Are there any dos emulators that
do talk? I tried a windows xp vm playing an old dos text games but
NVDA won't read everything either that or the game doesn't like the xp
command prompt.
thanks
Josh
